OSU Concert Band Auditions – Spring 2021

Auditions for Concert Band will take place virtually from November 9 – December 4, 2020. Please note that both Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band personnel will remain the same for Spring 2021, so we will not have auditions for those ensembles this semester.

Virtual Audition Instructions

All auditions will be submitted virtually for everyone’s safety due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You may submit your recorded audition any time between now and December 4 at 11:59 pm. Click here to submit your audition.

Who Should Audition?

EVERYONE is welcome and encouraged to audition. The following people are required to audition for Concert Band

Music majors and minors (except those already playing in Wind Ensemble or Symphonic Band)
Non-music majors on out-of-state tuition waivers or band scholarships

What to prepare

The following excerpts:

Flute / Piccolo
Oboe
Bassoon
Clarinet
Bass Clarinet* (please audition on B-flat clarinet)
Saxophone
Trumpet
Horn
Trombone
Euphonium
Tuba
Percussion (Percussion Studio will determine Concert Band placement)

Ensemble Meeting Times

Concert Band meets T / Th from 12:30 – 1:45.
